Connection guide

Connect WhatsApp with a QR code

Link a WhatsApp number to RecoverPay using Linked Devices. Understand connection checks, session reliability, and when to choose Meta Cloud API.

At a glance

RecoverPay can connect a WhatsApp number through a QR code linked-device session. Start the connection in your workspace, scan the displayed code from WhatsApp Linked Devices, and confirm the connected state. This connection uses a linked-device library; it is separate from the official Meta Cloud API.

Use an existing number

Link a compatible WhatsApp account from its Linked Devices settings.

Check the connection state

The workspace shows whether the selected number is connected or requires attention.

Keep lead context together

Send permitted follow-ups while reviewing the lead record and conversation history.

How to put it into practice

  1. Start a connection

In Connections, add a QR channel and wait for its current QR code.

  2. Scan from WhatsApp

On the account you want to use, open Linked Devices and scan the displayed code. Refresh an expired code before trying again.

  3. Verify the sender

Confirm the channel number and connected status. Send a test message to a contact who expects it.

  4. Maintain the session

If WhatsApp unlinks the device or the channel disconnects, reconnect before sending. Review failed deliveries individually.

Questions and answers

Is QR linking the official WhatsApp Business API?

No. QR linking is a linked-device connection using a third-party library. Meta Cloud API is a separate official API connection.

Does pacing prevent WhatsApp restrictions?

No. Pacing is not a guarantee against restrictions. Contact only people who expect your messages and follow the WhatsApp rules applicable to your account.

Should a disconnected message be retried immediately?

Check the connection and the original delivery result first. Reconnect when necessary, then retry the failed message from the workspace.
